Your phone went off with each new text as you laid in bed.  You already knew who was texting you, it was the same person as yesterday and the day before that. It was your good friend Loki.  He had been texting you these past few days, telling you he had enough of the Avengers.  You had stopped replying to him because of the stressful few weeks you had at work. You were a school teacher and during these past few weeks, you had to catch up on grading homework and projects, making assignments, attending meeting  and the several parent teacher conferences that dealt with the students not getting along  not getting homework done and not paying attention in class.  Normally you would be handling this easier but the past few weeks were more stressful.  You grab your phone from the nightstand and sighed reading the message. Loki wanted you over at the tower, he knew how stressed you been  and you were looking forward to your day off today and didn’t want to go but you had to he was your friend after all.

You got out of bed and started to get dressed, as you got dress you thought about how you met him.   It was pretty funny, he wanted to see what schools on earth was like and ended up coming by the elementary school you worked at. All the kids swarmed as this was during recess.  The kids wanted to see him do magic and was asking him several questions,  you had to ask them to leave him alone and in the end you became his friend and tried teaching him stuff about earth. Now once in awhile, he would chat with you and hang out.  

Ding, another text came on your phone. You ignored it and grabbed your laptop case that also held some papers you needed to grade, you hoped if you weren’t at the tower that long, you could head to your favorite starbucks and enjoy some coffee while doing your work, then go to the park to relax a bit. After you were ready and on your way out of your home, you checked the latest message, it was the same as the last asking you to come over.  You replied back this time, saying you were on your way.

After that till the time you got to the Tower you received  no more texts, it made you wonder why Loki was having some much trouble with the other Avengers.  When you got to the Tower, you called the Avengers. “Tony, Natasha, Clint, Steve, Thor, Bruce,  Loki! I’m here what’s going on?”  You walk through the halls of the Tower calling for them as you searched for them. Soon you got bored and looked up at the ceiling. “Hey Jarvis? Where is everyone?”  

Jarvis soon replied. “I was told to tell you to go to the living room, there is a note for you there.”
“A note? Okay.” You said in surprise, making your way to the living room and setting your laptop case down. You look on the table and find a note and next to it was your favorite starbucks drink, you grab it with one hand and picked up the note with the other.  You took a sip before reading the note aloud.

“Dear (f/n),

I turned the Avengers into dogs, they were getting on my nerves so I decided to punish them by using my magic.  They are in the lab, please watch them while I’m gone.

From Loki.”


You look at the note after reading it. “You gotta be kidding me? This has to be some kind of joke. I have work to do, not pet sit.”  You set your drink down and  head to the lab, when you got closer you heard the sound of barking dogs.  You slowly open the door and a group of puppies jumped on you.  You noticed that they all were golden retrievers each with different colored collars, in between of them barking and licking you, you looked at the tags.   It seemed like Loki was being nice and made it so that way you know who was who.  The one with the red collar was Tony, black was Natasha, green was Bruce, purple was Clint, Blue was Steve and the yellow one was Thor.  “Okay so this isn’t a joke, well then puppies let’s go upstairs so that we don’t mess up any of this stuff in the lab.”  

You started walking out of the lab and you had only two of the puppies following you, Steve and Natasha.  Tony was biting Bruce’s ear causing him to growl.   You look over at the puppies. “Tony enough. Stop biting Bruce’s ear and let’s go upstairs.  I’ll give you a treat.”

The puppies all now wagged their tails and now started to follow since you offered them treats so now you walk back to the living room with your army of puppies. One of them almost made you trip while another one was biting at your pant leg.   You sighed a bit.  “Okay thats enough. No need to be ruff.” You chuckled a bit at the joke and sit down, taking another sip of your starbucks.  The puppies all waited patiently for the treat you promised them.    You stood up. “I know I know you want a treat. Wait here.”  You went to the kitchen and decided to cook up bacon for a treat since you knew that there was probably no dog treats anywhere in the tower.

While you were cooking up the bacon, the puppies were causing trouble. Natasha and Bruce were pouncing on each other, rolling around and running after one another.  Tony had gotten into the bathroom and dragged out a long line of toilet paper and Clint was walking on it as it was getting dragged out, pieces of the toilet paper now all over the place.  Steve was sniffing around and Thor was sleeping.   When you saw the mess, you sighed.  “Guys, why are you doing this? You’re puppies but you also are adults, adults that have been turned into puppies but still.” You set the plate of bacon you made down on the table in the living room and started picking up the toilet paper. Tony had a piece in his mouth, you tried to take it out of his mouth but he growled.   “Tony drop it!” You demanded.  He drops it then runs off.

Thor had woken up from his short nap and sniffed around. He smelt the bacon and jumps up to the table where you set the bacon down and grabbed a piece with his mouth. He munched on it as he walks away.  The other ponies followed his lead and the plate was clear of bacon.  When you noticed that you weren’t mad since you promised them a piece.    “Okay you got your treat now. I’m going to grade some papers, you all behave.”  The puppies all tilted their heads at you while you took out some papers from your laptop case and dug around in a kitchen junk drawer for a red pen.   You spent the next hour grading the papers, trying to get stuff done but of course the puppies had other ideas of what they wanted you to do.   Steve pulled gently on your pant leg and Thor jumped on your lap.  You smiled and pet both of them.  

“Okay, I’ll take a break now where are the others?”  Thor jumps down and runs off in one direction and Steve followed. You laughed and got up from your spot and walk down the halls but you failed to look where you were going and stepped in something. It seemed like one of the puppies had left you a present and it was now all over your shoe.  “Ugh. I bet it was Tony.”   You take off your shoes and set them in the bathroom so you can clean them later, you then went and cleaned up the present that was left for you and then cleaned your shoe before putting both back on.  “Why does Loki leave me here… I wanted to just do my work and then relax but now I got to take care of these puppies. “  

The dogs start barking and you went over to them. You saw Clint chasing his tail before going over to you, you smiled and scratched behind his ear.   Natasha went over and forced her head to go under your hand so you could pet her.  “Okay guys, I already stepped in one of your little presents so before I step into any more let’s go outside then let me get back to grading papers.”  The dogs followed you outside the Tower. “Now stay here and don’t run off.”  

They seemed to listen for the most part and they all seemed to do their business and you let them all sniff around for a few more minutes before you were going to go back inside.   “Okay, that’s enough.  Time to go back inside.”  When you told them to go inside the puppies ran off down the sidewalk, they were chasing a cat.  “Really!!!!”   For the next several hours you had to chase down all the puppies, somehow you were able to round up them all and got back to the tower.  Once back in the tower you laid down on the couch, exhausted, the puppies all tired too. Bruce laid down on your stomach, Thor was by your feet and the others were on the floor and had fallen asleep with you.


Half an hour later.

Loki entered the Tower and smiled  seeing you asleep. “Looks like they wore you out.”  He snapped his fingers making a blanket appear over you and he kissed your forehead. You moves slightly but  you kept sleeping.

Then the other Avengers entered. Tony looked at the puppies. “What’s with the dogs.”

Steve pets one and looks at the collar, reading the tag. “Why do they have our names?”

Natasha found the note Loki left and looked at him. “You told her that they were us? Why?”

Clint pets one of the dogs  and Thor lifts another up.  Loki just smiles. “She’s been stressed. I wanted to see  if she could relax while playing with these puppies.  She is at least sleeping peacefully.”

Thor chuckled quietly. “True. Let’s hope she doesn’t get mad at you for tricking her.”

“I’m the god of tricks. What would you expect from me.” He smiled.

“Where did you get these dogs anyway?”  Clint asked.

“From the pet shop.”  Loki answered. “Thier Tony’s now. Bye guys.” He poofed away.

“What..” Tony said.
