Secret Service (avengers x reader) part 1

New York's favorite band of heroes were relaxing in the kitchen.  Steve was reading the newspaper, catching up on the latest current events while Tony chuckled. “You know you could just look up the news online like how everyone does it.”

Steve turned a page of his paper. “You know I like to do things the old fashion way.” He read the page. “ What are we going to do today, is there anything going on.”

Natasha was eating a piece of a fruit salad look up at Steve. I got a call from Fury this morning before I came down. He said we are needed at the Helicarrier.”

“Wonder why.”  Bruce said as he sipped his drink.  

Clint was leaning back in his chair, he had already finished his breakfast which consisted of  an omelet, bacon and toast.  “Probably some villain that broke out.  Maybe Red Skull.”  

Thor looked over to Natasha.  “When shall we go see Fury?”

“In a few hours.”   She answered.  

Steve put down his paper and stood up.  “Alright,  I’m going to go for a run.  I’ll be back in time for when we have to go see Fury.”

“Have fun.”  Tony said as he headed to the lab.  


A few hours later the Avengers were sitting in a boardroom style room on the helicarrier.   Everyone but Bruce was dressed in their uniforms with their weapons near by.   They had been sitting quietly for the better part of an hour and Tony was starting to get impatient as he was tapping his metal covered fingers against the table.  “What’s taking so long?”  

Natasha shrugged.  “No clue.  I know I got the time right.”

“Perhaps Director Fury had gotten busy.”  Thor said as he looked towards the door.  

“Maybe it wasn’t that important.”  Clint said as he got up.  

The door opened and Fury entered, following from behind was a woman with (h/c) hair that covered her ears but Tony could see with his suit that she had a ear piece on.     Her eyes were covered with dark shades and she wore a white shirt with a black blazer over it with matching pants and dress shoes that were shiny, the last thing to finish the look was a holster at her hip.   Fury looked at Clint.  “Barton you should sit back down.”   The two of them stood before the group, not taking a seat.

He nods as he does what he was told and sat back down.  “Who is the girl?”

“Good  evening Avengers, I am (f/n) (l/n)  secret service.”   She said pulling out her ID.  “I am here to work with you on a mission.” She gave no smile and spoke with no emotion.    

“Secret Service?  You work for the President?   You look kind of young.”   Bruce said looking over to her.  

“I am the youngest but I was chosen because of what I can do and yes,  I work for the President,   now Director Fury may you start filling them in on why I am here?”   (f/n) asked putting away her ID.  

He nods.  “A few days ago one of our S.H.I.E.LD agents that goes by the name Madame Web gave us some information.    One of her powers is to see into the future, she saw  the Skrull kidnapping the President during the time he comes to New York and travels to the United Nations headquarters and take his place.”

“Madame Web’s vision did not  see who the Skrull was disguised as but we believe that the person who was  compromised and replaced with a Skrull was most likely a member of the UN.   Us at the Secret Service do not want the President to be replaced so we request your help.”   The agent said.  

Thor nods.  “We can help you, we dealt with the Skrull before.”

“Yeah we have.   Hey (f/n) you said you were chosen because of what you can do.  So what is it that you do?”  Clint asked.

Steve looked at the agent.  “I was wondering that too.   What can you do?”  

“That is classified intel. Now the President will be flying in on Air Force One in a few days,  I have been asked to  stay here and get to know you so that I can help you come up with a plan since I know the President’s schedule..”    She said.

Tony nods. “Fine I guess you could stay here.”  

The agent nods and pulls out her phone. “I’ll be informing my boss that I briefed you and  I will be back.” She walks out of the room and the Avengers looked at Fury.

“I can’t believe we get to help protect the President.  It’s going to be such a honor.” Steve said.  

Bruce nods.   “Why is the President coming to the UN?”    

“You will be briefed on it before he arrives.”  Fury said as he left the room.    

Tony looked around at his teammates.  “Do you think we can trust her?   She said that the Skrull would be taking the president.  How do we know if she is a Skrull or not.  She says that it is classified to why she was chosen to be in the secret service.”  

“It is strange but we should have the girl prove herself to us.  We should watch her carefully.” Thor said.

Natasha nods.  “I’m sure whatever it is, she just wants to keep it to herself.   Now shush, she’s coming back in.”

(f/n) had placed her phone back in her pocket as she returned into the room.   “Shall we be off?”  

Clint nods as he stood up.  “Yeah let’s get going.”  

Steve looked over at her.  “I’m guessing you know who we all are?”  

She nods.  “Yes I have access to your files Captain America.  I know who you are.   Would you like me to prove it?”  

Natasha shook her head.  “No I think we’re good.”   She got up from her seat.  

“Hey kid do you show any emotion? I mean I haven’t seen you smile once and most women smile when they meet me.”   Tony asked as the rest of the Avengers got up and went to the door.  

The agent looked over in his direction and waited until almost everyone went to the door. She started walking behind the others.  “I am not a kid and I am sorry Mr. Stark if I do not fall for you.   As for your first question I will show my emotions when I need to.”  From the trip from the Helicarrier to the Tower  (f/n) said nothing.
